You’ll experience life in a way that most tourists miss. This trip offers plenty of opportunity to Experience Tanzania’s wild within its four spectacular wildlife areas in northern Tanzania. The trip starts in the 600-metre deep Ngorongoro Crater, the perfect location for a picnic lunch on the crater floor surrounded by some of the largest densities of wildlife in Africa. It is the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera and natural sanctuary for some of Africa’s densest animal populations then head to the Serengeti – a land of vast savanna and abundant wildlife. On our last day bustling with a variety of cultures from around Tanzania, the little town of Mto Wa Mbu before boarding a flight charter to Zanzibar Island.

Day 1; Arrival – and Warm Welcome in Arusha

Upon arrival in Arusha, our local company representative will be waiting for you at the airport. You’ll be transferred to your comfortable hotel (Karatu Town), overnight at Marera Valley Lodge.

    • Day 2; Karatu – Ngorongoro Crater & Serengeti National Park

    After breakfast you will descend into the crater for a wonderful morning game drive (with a picnic lunch) inside the Ngorongoro Crater often described as one of the wonders of the world. It is the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera and natural sanctuary for some of Africa’s densest animal populations. It is one of the few places where the rare black rhino can be observed in their natural setting. As very few animals migrate in and out of the crater with its 2000 ft. High walls, you can expect to see lions, elephants, zebras, hippos, flamingos, jackals, rhinos, antelopes, many birds and other species.

    • Day 3; Full Day at Serengeti National Park

    A full day game drives around Serengeti. Depending on the year and immigration of the herds you can expect a lot to be see wildebeest animals. With your picnic lunch you will leave the camp in the morning and start your game drive till late afternoon. Later in the evening you will have another game drive for sightseeing, photographing animals towards the sun set. . Apart from the Big Five the Serengeti boasts the cheetah, jackal, hyena, serval, aardvark, pangolin, porcupine, crocodiles, giraffe, python, black mamba, spitting cobra, ostrich, martial eagle, lovebirds and vultures, just to name a few. Enjoy this supreme game viewing and return to your camp for dinner.

    • Day 4; Serengeti National Park – Karatu Town

    We will commerce our journey in the morning where we can capture an abundance of animals as the sunrises over the Serengeti plains. We will enjoy the game drive at Serengeti National Park in the rolling grasslands, dotted with wildlife, zebra, impalas, hippos in their pools. In the afternoon we will heads towards Ngorongoro and visit the Maasai Boma and the Olduvai Gorge Museum on our way, dinner and overnigh at Marera Valley Lodge – Karatu.

    • Day 5; Half Day; Culture Village Tour (Mto Wa Mbu Town) – Flight to Zanzibar Island

    After breakfast we depart for a culture village tour. The little town of Mto Wa Mbu lies at the entrance to Lake Manyara National Park. A local agricultural hub, the town is famous for its crops of rice and the distinctive red bananas that Tanzania is known for. A half-day tour of the town in the company of a local guide gives travelers the opportunity to interact with local farmers, as well as artisans, craftsmen and painters. A sampling of the local banana beer adds a unique taste of local flavor.

    This cross-cultural melting pot is home to approximately 120 tribes. A bustling, thriving village, it is fascinating to hear the colorful blend of language s and witness first-hand the unique customs. Cultural diversity is seen in the various entrepreneurial ways including a farmer from Kigoma producing palm oil from palm trees that he purchased from the shores of Lake Tanganyika, and the Rangi creating colorful, beautiful mats and baskets using papyrus from the lakes and rivers. Late afternoon will take a drive heading to Arusha town for your own shopping before your domestic flight to Zanzibar Island.

    • Day 6 – 7 – 8 – 9 – 10 – 11; Full Days at Leisure
