Mikumi's Hidden Gem: Nature's Canvas Awaits Your Arrival

The main attraction in Mikumi national park is a game drive and visiting the Hippo Pool, where you can watch hippos wallowing and snorting at close range. The landscape of Mikumi NP provides a serene wildlife experience; commonly seen animals are elephants, giraffes, zebras, Antelope, Wildebeest, Eland, crocodiles, hippos, and baboons. If you are lucky, you won't miss seeing a Lion & very lucky to see a Leopard. Over 300 species of birds are seen are saddle bill stork, hammer kop, malachite kingfisher.

Day 1: Flight to Mikumi National Park – Full Day Game Drive

After breakfast we depart to Zanzibar Airport for your domestic flight to Mikumi, upon your arrival at Kikoboga airstrip; you will be met by our driver today you will have a full day of game drive in Mikumi National Park, with picnic lunch. You are touring the game-rich and favorite part of Mikumi, the Mkata flood plains. The plain is very famous for its concentrations, abundant and excellent sightings of wildlife. Ideally, it is home to large herds of Elephants, Buffaloes, Zebras, wildebeest, hyenas, Leopards and Lions.

During noontime, you will have a lunch break, where hot lunch will be served; afterwards, you will proceed with your journey exploring the Mikumi. Later, we drove out of the park to visit the Maasai Boma. You will typically learn their total way of life, enrich your knowledge and enjoy the entertainment provided by the Maasai community who migrated from the northern part of Tanzania; afterwards, you will go to the camp for relaxation, dinner and overnight.

    • Day 2: Full Day in Park

    After breakfast, exit your Camp and head to the park in search of wildlife in a thrilling game drive. Be on the look for the wildebeests, elephant’s giraffes, lions, buffaloes and many more. Then you will have a lunch break and later visit other park locations such as the Mkata, Chamgore (place of pythons) and Mkata flood plains. In the evening, you will return to your camp for dinner and an overnight stay.
