This itinerary takes you from outstanding wildlife areas to the tropical white sandy beaches of Zanzibar. Explore four famous parks in northern Tanzania, like the beautiful Ngorongoro Crater, the Endless pails Serengeti National Park which is home to almost 30,000 animals, including the Big 5. Or Tarangire National Park: the kingdom of elephants, birds and baobabs. Four of the Big 5 reside within this lovely park (only no rhino’s). Enjoy a village walk in Mto wa Mbu where you can see the traditional way of life of the villagers and interact with them. From the north of Tanzania, you travel to the exotic island Zanzibar where you can wash off your safari dust with a dip in the Indian Ocean and enjoy laid-back beach life.
Day 1; Arrival – Warm welcome & Drive to Arusha Town
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro international airport, you will be met by your driver and transferred to the in Arusha. Settle into your accommodation, ready to start your safari proper in the morning. If time allows, a complimentary town tour to explore Arusha town and visit a local market can be arranged.
Day 2; Full Day – Private; Arusha to Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, you drive to Tarangire National Park where your safari starts. This lovely park has the largest concentrations of elephants in the world and the highest number of breeding bird species. Especially during the dry season, Tarangire National park is packed with wildlife. Big cats like lions, cheetahs, and leopards, but also the seldom seen Kudu, Oryx, and Gerenuk. If you are lucky you can even spot the tree-climbing python. The Tarangire River draws huge herds of wildebeest, zebras, gazelles, as well as predators who prey upon them. Later in the afternoon, you drive for dinner and overnight to Lake BurungeTented Camp, a peaceful setting with great views over Lake Burunge
Day 3; Full Day; Private – Tarangire to Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, you will travel via the cooler highlands towards the southern Serengeti and at midday you will reach the plains of the Serengeti National Park. This park is the largest in Tanzania and has a diversity of habitats and landscapes – short grass plains, savannah, thick bush, swamps and lakes. Bizarre rock formations called kopjes do the grassy landscape where predators are often seen. The Serengeti is famous for the yearly migration when hundreds of thousands of wildebeests and zebras trek to find fresh grass and water. You will spend the night at the Kubu Kubu Tented Lodge inside of the park.
Day 4; Full Day Game Drive; Serengeti National Park
The entire day is dedicated to game viewing in the Serengeti National Park. The areas that you visit will depend upon where the migrating herds are. Predators usually follow closely behind the trekking animals and include lions, leopards (in the acacia trees) and cheetahs. During the short rainy season in November and December the herds move from the hills in the north to the plains in the south. During the longer rainy season from April to June they return up north. As the migration is completely dependent on the yearly rainfalls, the location of the herds may vary from year to year but your guide will know where to locate the animals and where to see them best. You will spend another night at Kubu Kubu Tented Lodge
Day 5; Full Day; Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Crater
Rise and shine! After breakfast at daybreak you travel back to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area before you drive down into the crater. The massive collapsed volcano is home to over 25,000 mammals ranging from the Big Five – lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino and leopard – to spotted hyenas, rare wild dogs and some of the more than 500 bird species of the area. After an extensive game drive and a picnic for lunch, you will leave the caldera in the afternoon and return to your Kitela Lodge for over night.
Day 6; Half Day; Culture Village Tour (Mto Wa Mbu Town) – Flight to Zanzibar Island
After breakfast we depart for a culture village tour. The little town of Mto Wa Mbu lies at the entrance to Lake Manyara National Park. A local agricultural hub, the town is famous for its crops of rice and the distinctive red bananas that Tanzania is known for. A half-day tour of the town in the company of a local guide gives travelers the opportunity to interact with local farmers, as well as artisans, craftsmen and painters. A sampling of the local banana beer adds a unique taste of local flavor. This cross-cultural melting pot is home to approximately 120 tribes. A bustling, thriving village, it is fascinating to hear the colorful blend of language s and witness first-hand the unique customs. Cultural diversity is seen in the various entrepreneurial ways including a farmer from Kigoma producing palm oil from palm trees that he purchased from the shores of Lake Tanganyika, and the Rangi creating colorful, beautiful mats and baskets using papyrus from the lakes and rivers. Late afternoon will take a drive heading to Arusha town for your own shopping before your domestic flight to Zanzibar Island.
Day 7; Full Day; Private – Stone Town for Prison Island and Spice Tour
Walking direct to the shores of stone town habour, where you will take a private boat ride to Prison Island; the Island is now home to the infamous prison ruins and tortoise sanctuary, famous for its giant tortoises. Observe the so intriguing creatures leisurely shuffling through the trees, whilst adventurous.
After the Island trip you will be transferred to Spice Farm for a Private Swahili Lunch. you will have sometimes to go around the Spice plantation center where you will be roaming through the fragrant spice plantations of Zanzibar and breathe in the scent of an infused past. Led by a friendly and professional guide, get an exclusive insight into the farms of this 3-hour tour. Nowadays the plantations are à tribute to the island’s colonial past. This is an excellent chance to learn about the turbulent history of the Island, later drive back to stone Town for overnight.

Day 8; Transfer to South Coast and Full Day at Own Leisure
Check out from Kisiwa House and transferred to South Coast, Paje at SBH Monica Zanzibar. This hotel lies in Paje Beach, a lovely and stunning beach village in the south of Zanzibar, which offers one of the best beaches on the island. Get relax and feel the breath taking atmosphere of Indian Ocean at the beautiful white sandy beaches and turquoise water that gently rolls onto the beach. You will spend the entire daya at your leisure.
Day 9; Half Day; Private – Mnemba Island (Swimming with Bottlenose Dolphins)
One of the best places for snorkeling is Mnemba Atoll, Located North Eastern coast of the Island. A romantic hideaway, Mnemba Island is an exclusive paradise, Discover sheer, unpretentious paradise of this exclusive island, where the simple pleasures become your most treasured of memories for many years to come. Relax and unwind on your own stretch of beachfront, the most famous marine conservation area in Zanzibar. This atoll features an easy dive down to about 20 meters and quite a bit coral, you can also spot dolphins, whales, and sea turtles due to the deeper water in the sea., Snorkeling in Mnemba Atoll offers you a stunning under water with schools of tropical reef fish, turtles, dolphins, nudi branchs and beautiful hard and soft coral formations. Between the snorkeling sessions you can stay on the boats and taste fresh seasonal fruits, spice tea and snacks.
Day 10; Full day at Leisure
Another day on paradise you will be at leisure to relax or to explore as you like. Spend your day at the beach and enjoy laid back beach life or another option is to take a Village tour and experience the culture and real life of Zanzibar people.
Day 11; Full Day – Private Unforgettable Safari Blue Trip
For an unforgettable day trip in Zanzibar you will take a drive to Fumba Village, where you will hop on a traditional dhow boat to sail to the breath-taking Minai Bay home to a cluster of beautiful, uninhabited islands. Once you reach the destination, the dhow boat will be anchored in an idyllic spot, allowing you to swim around the island, snorkelling along the rich coral reefs, spot the frolicking dolphins or explore the pristine islets. Your day will have interrupted mouth-watering buffet lunch on Kwale Island, where you can tuck into succulent calamari, freshly grilled fish, huge lobster and juicy tropical fruits under the shade of massive tamarind trees. After a fantastic day out in the sun, you will return to Fumba Village on a lateen sail back.
Day 12; Departure from the hotel
After breakfast or lunch, you will depart from the hotel for drive to Zanzibar Airport for your International flights back.
