7 Unforgettable Days: A Blend of Luxury and Wilderness in Serengeti Safari
These will be the 7 days to remember. Unlike normal basic camping, this will be the opportunity to get the mix of the modern conveniences from our pre-booked accommodations inside the parks and or to get in the heart of the action where you’ll hear and even see animals passing by without having to sacrifice comfort. This package combines the best of camping with the best of staying in a luxury lodge
Day 1: Arrival – and Warm Welcome in Arusha
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro airport, you will be met by our company representative driver and transferred to Gran Melia in Arusha for dinner and overnight. Get relaxed into your accommodation, ready to start your safari proper in the morning. If time permits, a complimentary town tour can be arranged.
Day 2: Arusha– Tarangire National Park
After breakfast you will depart to Tarangire national Park. The Tarangire National Park has the highest diversity of elephant s and you can view these animals all year around in which the herds often can reach an impressive number of 300 animals.
The Tarangire River has water all year round and during the dry season, between July and October, many animals from surrounding areas come to the river for drinking. If you visit this park during dry season, you will witness an unforgettable natural wonder as you observe wonderful creatures such as Lions, Giraffes, Buffaloes, wildebeest and Zebras as well as various antelopes and gazelles and with little luck, you can also spot a python! Around lunchtime, you will stop at a suitable picnic place before the afternoon is dedicated to more wildlife watching. Dinner and overnight at Lemala Mpingo Ridges.
Day 3: Tarangire – Serengeti National Park
Depart from the lodge and head toward Serengeti National Park across the Ngorongoro Conservation Area Authority (Loduare Gate). The stretch of road towards the park’s gate offers a fantastic opportunity to see animals in their natural habitat, often during migration including wildebeest, zebra, impalas, and lions.
We will have a picnic lunch at the gate of Serengeti National Park (Naabi Gate) where you will also follow a trail to the top of the hill which boasts stunning views over the famous Serengeti. With game drive en route, we will head for dinner and overnight at Lemala Ewamjani Camp
Day 4: Full Day at Serengeti National Park
A full day game drives around Serengeti. Depending on the year and immigration of the herds you can expect a lot to see wildebeest animals. With your picnic lunch you will leave the camp in the morning and start your game drive till late afternoon. Later in the evening you will have another game drive for sightseeing, photographing animals towards the sun set.
Apart from the Big Five the Serengeti boasts the cheetah, jackal, hyena, serval, aardvark, pangolin, porcupine, crocodiles, giraffe, python, black mamba, spitting cobra, ostrich, martial eagle, lovebirds and vultures, just to name a few. Enjoy this supreme game viewing and return to your camp for dinner.
Day 5: Serengeti National Park – Ngorongoro Crater
We will begin our journey in the morning where we can capture an abundance of animals as the sunrises over the Serengeti plains.
We will enjoy the game drive at Serengeti National Park in the rolling grasslands, dotted with wildlife, zebras, impalas, hippos in their pools. In the afternoon we will head towards Ngorongoro and visit the Maasai Boma on our way, dinner and overnight at Lemala Ngorongoro Camp.
Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater – Lake Eyasi
After breakfast you will descend into the crater for a wonderful game drive (with a picnic lunch) inside the Ngorongoro Crater often described as one of the wonders of the world. It is the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera and natural sanctuary for some of Africa’s densest animal populations. It is one of the few places where the rare black rhino can be observed in their natural setting. As very few animals migrate in and out of the crater with its 2000 ft.
High walls, you can expect to see lions, elephants, zebras, hippos, flamingos, jackals, rhinos, antelopes, many birds and other species. Before driving back to Arusha, I will visit Lake Eyasi for another unforgettable adventure, dinner and overnight stay at the Gran Melia Hotel.
Day 7: Departure from the hotel
