Day 1; Arrival – and warm welcome in Zanzibar

On arrival at the Zanzibar Airport you will be met by our company representative and transferred to your hotel in North Region – SBH Monica for overnight.

Day 2 & 3; Zanzibar - Full day at Leisure

Get relax and feel the breath taking atmosphere of Indian Ocean at the beautiful white sandy beaches and turquoise water that gently rolls onto the beach. You can spend the entire day if you decide to get active after all, you can take a stroll on the romantically secluded beach – a wonderful diversion from long hours of relaxing at the hotel.

Day 4; Flight to Selous Game Reserve (Afternoon Game Drive & Bird Watching)

After breakfast we depart to Zanzibar Airport for your Domestic flight to Selous Game Reserve, upon your arrival at Mtemere airstrip; you will be met by our driver for your transfer to the lodge for check-in and rest for a while. After lunch you will have an afternoon game drive, Selous game reserve is the highlight activity in Selous game reserve, the reserve hosts numerous wildlife species. While on this afternoon drive you will cover a wonderful experience of Birding Safari. Selous game reserve hosts over 440 bird species and the best way to spot eye catching colourful bird is on a birding experience. Among the big bird population in the reserve there is migratory bird species which migrate from Europe and the northern region of Africa to Selous game reserve, on birding safari birds spotted include brown-breasted barbet, mangrove kingfishers, African skimmers, palm-nut vulture, freckled nightjars, grey-hooded kingfisher, waders, broad-billed roller, green billed coucal, long-tailed fiscal, red winged warbler, Boehm’s bee-eater, black Cuckoo-shrike, green-capped Eremomela, spotted-flanked barbet, Dickinson’s kestrel, red billed bulbul, red throated twin spot, white helmet shrikes, sterling’s barred warbler, Livingstone’s flycatcher, Arnot’s chat, spotted –flanked barbet, wattle-eyed flycatchers, red throated Twinspot, grey penduline tit, Layard’s black-headed weaver and many more

Day 5; Full Day at Selous Game Reserves (Morning & Afternoon Game Drive)

Today you will have a full day of game drive in Selous game reserve, with picnic lunch. Within an area of around 50,000sq km, (5% of Tanzania’s land surface) Selous game reserve is one of the large protected areas in the world. Its size is stunning, bigger than Switzerland or Denmark, uninhabited and little touched by human interference. Visitors therefore find themselves in a pristine wilderness far away from the trodden tourist routes. Its wildlife (including warthogs, elephants, rhinos, buffaloes, lions, leopards, hippos, spotted hyena, elands, leopards some few remaining Black rhinos and Wild dogs) are very spectacular.

Day 6; Full Day at Selous Game Reserves (Morning & Afternoon Boat Safari)

Selous game reserve offers amazing boat safaris the park consists of many water bodies which make boat safari experience possible and amazing due to their calm clear waters. Boat safaris on River Rufji, offer more than serene cool breeze and sailing on water, they offer sights of a huge population of animals such as a large pride of lions which come to water bodies to drink water.

Full day boat safari is offered from 10am – 6 pm, on this safari experience you get to spot many animals such as crocodiles, hippos, waterbucks, kudu, warthogs, elephants as they bath in waters, blue monkeys, savannah baboon, black and white colobus monkey seen on the tree along the banks of river Rufji and the lakes. Boat safaris are also ideal for spotting various bird species such as African fish eagle, malachite king fisher, and many more

Day 7; Explore Culture Tour – Flight to Zanzibar Island

After early breakfast, followed by morning safari culture tour where you will learn the Tanzania real culture before transferred to Mtemere airstrip for your departure flight to Zanzibar. Your safari to Selous game reserve can never be really over and memorable without visiting the Mloka village on a cultural tour, Mloka village is situated down the River Selous and can be accessed by a short drive. Cultural tours in Mloka village is an ending experience on this village you will interact culture of the local people, be entertained by local dance and drama, visiting local places likes primary schools, local market and many more. Through interaction with the local people you will learn more about their cultural values, traditions, practices, beliefs and history. Cultural tours to Mloka village not only offer a cultural experience but also a form of physical experience majorly stretching your legs as you walk through the village.

Day 8 & 9; Zanzibar – Full Day at Leisure

Relax at the beautiful Beach of (North East of the Island). This is among the exotic beach on the island has a relaxed atmosphere with beautiful white sandy beaches and turquoise water that gently rolls onto the beach

Day 10; Full Day – Unforgettable Safari Blue Trip

For an unforgettable day in Zanzibar after breakfast driver will take you to Fumba Village, where you will hop on a traditional dhow boat to sail to the breath-taking Minai Bay home to a cluster of beautiful, uninhabited islands. Once you reach the destination, the dhow boat will be anchored in an idyllic spot, allowing you to swim around the island, snorkelling along the rich coral reefs, spot the frolicking dolphins or explore the pristine islets. Your day will have interrupted mouth-watering buffet lunch on Kwale Island, where you can tuck into succulent calamari, freshly grilled fish, huge lobster and juicy tropical fruits under the shade of massive tamarind trees. After a fantastic day out in the sun, you will return to Fumba Village on a lateen sail back.

Day 11; Zanzibar - Full day at Leisure

Another day on paradise you will be at leisure to relax or to explore as you like. Spend your day at the beach and enjoy laid back beach life.

Day 12; Full Day; Jozani Forest, Archeological – Stone Town Tour & Spice Tour

Jozani Forest awaits you. Take a 3-hour tour through its stunning scenery, experiencing the wonder and delight of your natural surroundings.

The forest is home to a number of endemic species, including the Zanzibar red Columbus monkey. The mangrove boardwalk takes you above the swamp, where, depending on the tide, you can see tropical fish flitting between the mangrove roots and crabs scuttling across the mud. As you walk, learn about the animals, birds, and reptiles that make their home in the various habitats of this tropical rain forest after the tour you will drive to Stone Town for lunch before a 4 hours tour.

You will eexplore the narrow alleys and winding streets of stone town on this historic look at Zanzibar’s oldest neighbourhood. Check out spice bazaars and palaces, see where Rock Legend Freddie Mercury was raised, and pay a visit to a 19th-Century church built atop the site of a former slave market. Later visit the Spice Farm where you will enjoy a unique rainforest nature with lots of tropical plants, trees and spices. Experience, taste and smell different spices that are grown in Zanzibar Islands such as Turmeric, Cardamom, Cinnamon, Black Peppers, Cloves, Nutmegs, and so on. This is an excellent chance to learn about the turbulent history of the Island as well to enjoy the delicious Swahili cuisine.

Day 13; Half Day – Private; Snorkelling with Bottlenose Dolphin; Mnemba Atoll

One of the best places for snorkeling is Mnemba Atoll, Located North Eastern coast of the Island. A romantic hideaway, Mnemba Island is an exclusive paradise, Discover sheer, unpretentious paradise on this exclusive island, where the simple pleasures become your most treasured of memories for many years to come. Relax and unwind on your own stretch of beachfront, the most famous marine conservation area in Zanzibar. This atoll features an easy dive down to about 20 meters and quite a bit coral, you can also spot dolphins, whales, and sea turtles due to the deeper water in the sea., Snorkelling in Mnemba Atoll offers you a stunning under water with schools of tropical reef fish, turtles, dolphins, nudi branchs and beautiful hard and soft coral formations. Between the snorkelling sessions you can stay on the boats and taste fresh seasonal fruits, spice tea and snacks.

Day 14; Departure from the hotel

After breakfast or lunch, you will depart from the hotel drive to Airport for your International flights back home.
